"Guatemala Energy Transition" a project based in Central America, specifically Guatemala, launched in 2023 within the public sector. This project promotes a national-level support for addressing energy transition, with a focus on improving the environmental and social performance of the energy sector. It aims to ensure universal access to sustainable and secure energy services, support the development of green jobs and the adoption of clean technologies, enhance energy efficiency across all sectors, promote the generation of genuine resources for sustainable projects, and achieve transparency and traceability. The initiative prioritizes poverty alleviation, local and global commitments such as SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), along with risk mitigation, traceability, and engagement with stakeholders. It also emphasizes innovation, projects focusing on mitigation, remediation, and compensation, including production and responsible consumption, tokenomics, and blockchain technologies. The project aims to foster a just, sustainable, and secure energy transition while addressing the evolving operational environments and achieving resilience in the face of challenges.
